Scaly bump on toe

Question
We have an 8 wk. old female golden. As I was rubbing her paws, I noticed a nodule/bump on one of her left toes. It's in the skin, firm, movable, and somewhat gray and scaly.  The hair is a little thinner here, but she doesn't seem to even notice it, even when I'm messing with it and inspecting it.  Do you have any ideas what this could be? Thanks. (Oh, and she's very playful, puppy biting and all, but not that into a ball.  What's that all about with her being a retriever?  Is she just too young still to instinctively play fetch?)

Answer
Hi Lori - The ball thing will happen in time...Just wants to play bite right now...  Next time you see the vet - show them the area... It may just be an allergy.
When you have your puppy check ups, show the vet your concerns..
You may want to consider some NuVET plus for your puppy - one of the best doggie vitamins in the USA.
