i have a golden puppy who is 10 months old on the 28th of this month he weighs 56.2 lbs is this about right?

A lot depends on the size and weight of his parents, but generally speaking, it sounds like his weight is OK.  If you have any doubts, consult your vet.

Keep in mind, too, that goldens often have hip and elbow problems as they age, so they do better weighing on the lighter side than the heavier.
