Question
I have a ten week old golden retriever puppy who wakes up at least two or three times during the night. When I go down to him he smells my hand, I tell him bed and he goes back in his basket. I have tried leaving him to cry but he just howls constantly. What should I do?

Answer
hmmmmm...this is a tricky one. Well the reason he is doing this is probably for attention. So, when he wakes up, take him to his place to go pee or poo. After that get him to go to his basket. And you go back to bed. If he starts howling, ignore him. He will understand that howling wont get him fun or attention. If he does it so much that you cant bare it, go to him and firmly say "Quiet!" Dont shout, just say it firmly. If he is howling while in the basket, shake the basket and say that. He will eventually get the point that howling doesnt work and he has to sleep. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, fell free to ask. And please leave a comment. Bye.
