i have a friend who has a black w/ tan german shepherd he needs to know if its a german police or just german shepherd...if any differnce. he is wanting to have him reg. but has no papers at all. can he register him? ckc probly but is that good if he decides to breed the dog? thanks

Hi Charolette, there is no difference in german police or german shepherd except that police dogs are trained, but they are still german shepherds.  He could only register through something like CKC, but that is not as popular as AKC so it will be a lot harder to breed and sell the pups.  Hope this helps,
