german shepard puppy- itching

my puppy is 5 months old and for two months she has been itching .i beleive it is dry skin..i changed her from Iams to purina didn't help so i am now adding oil substitute once aday still not helping..dry flaky skin on back nesr tail...

Hi Pat, have you been treating her for fleas?  Try flea combing her and see if any fleas are on her.  Also, she may have food allergies, so you can try switching foods, staying away from grains and corn in the ingredients.  Switching foods takes time in showing results, so you have to give it time to work between foods.  Hope this helps,
