Question
My GS pup seems to be growing fast.  She's 3 months and 19" tall.  Are their any charts of expected weight gains per month of GS pups available.

Answer
There may be, but I wouldn't set much store in them.  They could be part of the get big fast thinking.  Even if not, dogs vary too much for any table.  It sounds like you are concerned about excessive fast growth.  Shepherds do shoot up fast.  If they stay on puppy chow, quite possibly faster than their joints can develop.  Make you next bag of chow an adult formula.  Make the change over a week.  That will slow her growth allowing the sturdy joints she will need when she reaches her genetically determined size.

Usually it is easy to keep a Shepherd lean.  I see many more questions from people that think their Shepherd should be eating more.  Some of them it is just as well to leave their ribs show a little rather than tempt them with rich food.  Here is a guide to maintaining good body condition, http://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx  Again, if she is in the low end of the range, leave well enough alone.
