Question
I am new to having a dog ... I've never had one before.  I am a new mommy to a 2 year old female pomeranian named Misty.  My first question is 1.  Should you free feed when trying to housetrain?  2.  How much water should she be drinking?  I leave out her water all day so she has access to it, I am just not sure if she drinking anough.
Thanks,Misty's Mommy

Answer
At 2 she probably does not need to free feed unless she is under 4 pounds and may get hypoglycemic.  Just feed 1/4 cup in the AM and maybe a chicken wing or marrow bone at night.  Soft food usually causes loose stool.  If you feed past 6 or so or within just a couple hours of bed she will soil her sleeping place.  You should also make sure you take her out before bed.  She should have all the water she wants.  She will drink when she is thirsty.

Best of luck with your new girl. :o)
