Bully sticks

Question
Hi,
We have a 3 month old male bulldog that is absolutely adorable.  However, since he is in his "teething" stage he of course wants to chew on anyting and everything.  He loves the nylabone edibles but does not care for the regular ones.  I ran across a product from Merrick called Bully Sticks made from beef tendons or bull privates.  I am aware that bullys cannot eat rawhide, however are these a good alternative?  Zero seems to love them but I cut off the part that turns white before allowing him to have it again.  Thank you for your time and knowledge.

Answer
I've seen this product and boy do they smell nasty! I always worry about anything that softens up and can potentially clog an airway. It only takes a piece the size of a postage stamp to restrict breathing.

As long as you're giving him these "treats" while you're watching him very closely, I don't see any harm. Please do be careful though. Keep going back to the Nylabones.  Eventually he'll really like them.
