Question
QUESTION: Our 8.5 week old puppy Farley stopped eating mid-day yesterday and now wont drink either.  He wont really take treats either. What dog doesnt like bacon??  He is very sweet and today bit me and growled at me, not in a play situation.

ANSWER: Hello Cara, Your pup may have a virus or even worms...VERY common to get worms from the mom.  How about you visit the vet and bring a stool sample for testing.  You may not even see the worms with the human eye.

Also, get some pedylite electrolyte fluid ( flavored ) the kind for humans.... give 2 -3 cc every 2 hours thru a syringe.  Point the syringe into the side of his mouth and push the fluids...
He may not like this but you don't want him to dehydrate.

Call your vet today...
BEST Wishes

Once he is better - consider a good Bullie Vitamin:

QUESTION: He is eating Natural Balance from Petco.  The funny thing is, we received a sample from  PetSmart of BilJac puppy food. She said we would not need to add it in slowly, that we could just feed him a meal. I think it may have upset his tummy. After a vet check, its probably just gas. haha
I will try the pedialyte. He will enjoy it.
