I have a question regarding our 9 month old English Bulldog ,Ramona. We have noticed that her vagina seems to be very swollen and protruding quite noticeably. It seems as though it is hanging. Is this normal? She is our first EBD and we were just wondering if this may be a sign of her first period. The only sign of bleeding that we have seen is a small bit a few days ago just outside her crate. Also at what age does this breed fully developed. Thanks in advance

Hello Joe - yes, looks like Ramona is going into her first Season.  This swelling can start now and continue up to 30 days.  The bleeding will be for about 20 -24 days.  This can happen between 8 months to 12 months of age.
Guess she is a bit early...But, I am sure very healthy!
