i hope this isnt happening!!

My daughters boyfriend moved in recently with his 1 year old female.  She went into her first season about a month ago,,,,,she ripped a board off of the fence (literally) and the next door neighbors very old, not fixed golden retriever had a smile on his face. Her teets are getting larger.....how do i know if she is expecting and what do i expect with the difference in breed sizes.....i am so worried!1

It sounds like she really wanted to visit with the retriever. Due to the tremendous size difference, I doubt they did anything more than play at it. She could..and will..have residual swelling of her teats from the hormones from her cycle.In about 2 weeks, you can take her to a vet to determin if she is in fact pregnant. If so...I would strongly recommend a termination for the safety of the female because the size of the pups will most certainly be more than she can handle in delivery.If you chose not to..then please schedule her for a c-section when it is time rather than allow her to stress in extra painful and damaging labour.
