My female Boston "Marley" is 17 months old and weighs about 16 pounds.  She's very petite for a Boston.  She has a very noticeable waistline, and her ribs are very very slightly noticeable.  You can definitely feel them and you can see where her rib cage and where her waist begins.  People are constantly telling me that she is under weight, that I should be feeding my dog more.  I know that Bostons have issues with becoming overweight so I don't want to overfeed her either.  She is fed twice a day 3/4 cup FROMM Adult Gold. She seems happy and alert.  Her vet seems to think her weight is fine.  She does though look skinny to me.  Maybe it's because she's just extra tiny.  I am feeding her more then the recommended amount of food because of her activity.  Should I feed her more or do you think her weight is probably fine.  She's wormed monthly with Interceptor, I know she doesn't' have worms.

Hello Stefanie and Boston!  Sure - there are two things I would like you to do for your gal.  Give her this dog food for 2 months - add it to the FROMM Adult Gold - After two months - you should see what you are looking for. ( and you can cut back for discontinue the special food that was added for weight gain)
The food I want you to look for is called BARKING at the MOON by Solid Gold - Call around - groomers, and pet stores - you should be able to find it.  ( even if you have to order it on-line)
Give her 75 % of the FROOM brand and 25% of the BAT Moon food... Try this ratio for a few months.... see what you get for results.
