Skin Irritation

Hello!  My 8 month old Boston, Dixie, has developed a red, rough, slightly
swollen spot on her belly near her hind left leg.  It doesn't seem to cause her
pain to the touch and she hasn't been scratching or chewing at it.  But it started
as dime size and is now about the size of a quarter. Anyone know what this
could be??
