We might get a cat sometime in the next couple months to a year. We have lots of different plants in our home... i have heard that some are dangerous and poisness to cats and might kill them. Hi...
wow thank you.
We have a peace lily, a pothos, purple heart, geranium, and a cactus. What could these plants do to the cat? We are not going to remove the plants if we get a cat unless we really have to. Will they make the cat sick? One of my relatives had a rubber plant and nothing happened to the cats... but they starting pooping in it. Also my  grandma has black eyed susans growing outside...she also has cats outside and they dont seem to bother it.

If your cat ingests the leaves and/or seeds of a poisonous plant, then depending on the plant, it could kill your cat.  It is up to you, but if you know the plant is potentially harmful, then be aware that if your cat chews on it, you are taking a chance of your cat getting extremely sick and the possibility of death occuring.  Use your best judgement here!
