The long and the short of it is that it depends.  I wish I could give you a really definitive answer.  Usually I count on a week or two in season.

The better question to ask is how often do whole female cats come into season?  Some come in every couple of weeks, whereas others come in once or twice a year and there are all variations possible in between.  Some cats are very regular in their seasons and some cats never seem to do it the same way twice.

Cats can begin coming into season as early as 4 months of age or wait until they are 2 or 3 years old.

It almost appears to be random.
