Cat tripping me!

Question
Why does my cat keep trying to trip me?  Everytime I go to the kitchen or living room he twines himself between my ankles and nearly trips me.  Even when he has a full bowl of food or has just come in from outside he does this.  I am not that steady on my feet anyway so this cat may put me in a wheel chair!!

Hi Michael,

He is just saying hello and he is also renewing his scent on you. He wants to make sure that no other cat has been near you. The easiest way to stop this is to pick him up or bend down when he starts down by the legs and pet or rub his head. After a minute or so of this put him down or let him go. He shouldn't rub against you then. Good luck and let me know what happens.
