How do I remove a tick from my cat's neck?

Hi Paulette,

Make sure you wear gloves when doing this- get some tweezers and grasp the tick by the head, not the body and twist anti-clockwise to remove.

Frontline also makes a product that will kill ticks, so maybe check with your vet or petfood store. Frontline also can prevent ticks, so that might be the way to go for future if you have a lot of ticks in the area.

You might want to take the tick in to your vet to have it identified and make sure that it isn't a serious worry to your kitty- they shouldn't charge you for the service.
