Answer
Hi Kendall, without seeing your cat it would be impossible for anyone to say for sure what happened with her pregnancy. If you want to get her checked and perhaps some swabs taken to see if she will be healthy to breed next time then you really need to make an appt to see your vet. The vet can then take the time to give you an educated "guess". I worked for vets for many years and they do not have time to talk with everyone on the phone when they have clients in the office waiting to see them. We could all guess.. but that will still just leave you with a "guess".  If you need to know what was wrong then you need to get her in to see a professional asap. It is possible she had a uterine infection and she may still have it! She may have had poisoning that affected her kittens..etc..etc.
If the vet were to talk with you on the phone he could not get the information from you that he needs such as... What is her temperature, is there anything remaining in her uterus, does the discharge look healthy, etc etc. There are not many owners who have all this information ready for a phone call from the vet, so he is just wasting his time without a proper history and exam.
AND to help him out.. when you go for your appointment bring all the information you have. You gave me a lot of information here so bring that along and other info such as : what day was she bred, what day did you first feel kitten movement, how much did she weigh at full term, what day did she deliver, how long between kitten deliveries, how many kittens did she deliver, how many afterbirths, when did the diarrhea start, how much did she eat, a record of her temperatures if you have them, what colour discharge did she have and how much, did she have discharge before the delivery, how many litters has she had, what exactly did the kittens look like, were they alive when born, did you save them for examination (in freezer), are there congenital problems in her lines, has the father sired previous litters and what were they like,  etc etc. Now that it is past the delivery date it will be more difficult to get a diagnosis unless there is still a problem with your cat.
But, Good Luck, Teresa
