Is my cat in labour?

hi there teresa, i have a solid color persian whos heavily pregnant now. she mated on 9th march.she has been nesting this past one week and lately she has lost appetite on food.but she does take plenty of water.for the past four days she has been panting and today it was really heavy. but she does not show any discharge yet. im so worried because i guess shes almost due.please help.thanx

Hi Natalie, usually when they pant it is a sign of labour starting or a sign of her being in labour. Try laying your hand on her side and see if you feel any contractions across her side. some cats don't show much discharge until just before the first kitten is born. Keep an eye on her and keep showing her the box you have ready for her. She will be happier if you stay with her today.
