Chronic Eye Infection In My Little Tommy

My cat has been having (by has been, I mean for appx. 8 months) a very green, mucus-like substance in his eyes. Sometimes clear, watery stuff drips almost like he's crying, but they're very big drops. Underneath Tommy's eyes, he also has crust and every day I have to clean out his eyes for him. Does anyone know what this is? I can't go to the Vet until I know it is needed. Thank you!

I cannot really give advice on this besides go to a vet. I can say my cat had puss on her eye before and that was normal to a point, yet you said it has happened for 8 months. My cat rarely had it. It was more like 1 day out of 400. See a vet. Good luck and sorry
