Upper Resperatory Problems

Question
Hello,

I have a very worrisome problem which I'm hoping you can help me with. My three year old cat has always had extreme respiratory problems-he has difficulty breathing, and his lungs always rattle when he can manage a breath. I've taken him to my vet, and he's said there's nothing he can do and that he has no disease. Lately though, he's not been eating or drinking at all, and I am at my wit's end trying to think of what I can do for him. I would appreciate any suggestions you could offer on what to do for him or how to get him to eat. Thanks much for your time.

Elisa

Answer
sounds to me like he has upper respirtory infection. take him to a different vet if you can, he will need a shot of antibiotic and a 2 week series of oral drops from you and a shot called a 4 in 1. good luck.

if its not uri...then im sorry i just dont know what to tell you other then try to keep the air as pure as possible, air purifiers, air conditioners..etc.
