Question
my cat is being mean to my other animals after being spayed, she has lept at my eldest cat and attacked my dogs, she was in heat when she was neutered. I am torn on how to handle the cituation, there is scar tissue under her, but no redness, her behavior has me fearing for the saftey of my other pets. Did the vet mess up my cat is this a side effect or her being spayed? I want to keep her but she is far tto aggressive to ignore and I don't want to declaw her what should i do please help!

Answer
HI Alan,

I assume that this violent behavior only started aftre you had her spayed? How long ago was this? It does sound like she could be in some pain, pain is a common reason for unprovoked attacks. I think you should take her back to the vet for a check.

Also, adding 250mg of tryptophan (amino acid) to her food each day may help take the edge off her aggression. You can buy tryptophan online and at health food stores, for example:

I hope the vet is able to find the source of any potential physical problem.
