Question
I took my three cats to get nuetured at a clinic on wednesday. they was acting real funny when I got them home. but I was told this was normal for males. but on Friday I just happened to be watching as one was having a bowel movment and after he finished a stream of blood came out. took him to the vet and they have no real answers. they ran test and found nothing. but I feel that it conected to the nueture

Answer
Hmmmm...I'm not sure.  During a neuter surgery, they really don't go anywhere near the intestines.  In fact, unless the cat has a condition called cryptorchidism, they don't enter the abdomen at all.

It could be he's got a bout of colitis, which is usually related to stress.  And the stress of the surgery could have caused it.  Some fresh blood in one bowel movement isn't necessarily much cause for alarm.  If they push too hard, they can break a blood vessel, which isn't a big deal.  It really looks worse than it is.

But if he's passing blood regularly, he needs to get back in to the vet.  And if they have no answers, I'd see about taking him to a gastroenterologist.  Some things that can cause fresh blood in the stool are constipation, diarrhea, colitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and tears in the rectum.  Hookworms can also cause bloody stool.  All of these are generally treatable.
