my cat is losing her whiskers

I have been noticing as of late that my older cat[I have two] has been breaking her whiskers. Is this natural in cats?

Hi Joyce,

Some times this happens when a cat is ill or malnourished.   Is you cat elderly?  Has she been looking okay and eating okay lately?  You might want to check her diet, make sure she's eating and if you see any signs of illness you could run her into the vet for a check-up.  The whiskers grow back once the problem is fixed.
