Got a new cat but have a few problems

Question
Hello! I have a few questions about cats and I'm hoping you could answer them.

-We've just brought a new cat to our house. The newcomer and our other cat got off to a bit of a bad start. No fighting, but they both freaked out. Any suggestions on how to let them meet each other? Both of them shared a home with cats before, but we don't want any fights.

-The newcomer seems kind of stressed. Her eyes are kind of cloudy, she's whining, and she hasn't so much as looked at her food or water since we brought her home. She's been hiding around the house and it's hard to find her. What should we do?

I don't know if you're an expert on the subject, but I hope you can help, we're really worried.

Answer
Both questions should be asked to a vet. The clody eyes could be number of factors. Dust, or maybe the cat is sick. It's hard to say without seeing the cat. This is why the cat needs to see a vet. As for the cats getting along. Keeping them apart with a window in between helps a drop. Like another room with a glass door window. Some experts recommend cat safe baby powder put on them for a couple of weeks. If cats small the same, they will treat eachother like family. But baby powder must be safe for the cat, some are not. Talk to your vet before doing such, some people do not recommend this. Watch them when they are near eachother too. Good luck and sorry. Talk to a vet.
