Question
QUESTION: hi im just wondering if u know what kind of kitten i have it is black white and orange and a long haired kitten and what vaccinations does it need how much will the vaccinations be

ANSWER: Hi Alyanna,

It sounds like you have a long hair domestic tortoise shell calico. She most likely will be needed to be wormed. She gets her first vaccinations at about 8 weeks or so. The core vaccines she will need are FVRCP (a combination vaccine against several respiratory, gastrointestinal and systemic viral infections), FeLV (designed to prevent the dreaded feline leukemia virus),and Rabies (required by law in certain locales).

I don't know how much they cost. Each area and vet is different. And if your cat is going to be an indoor only cat you might want to research about just vaccinating her for Rabies only. Good luck with your new addition.

QUESTION: my kitten is 6 weeks old just to make sure what breed heres a picturehow old o kittens have to be to get pregnant will it get along with my guinea pig could u just tell me on the average of how much im gonna spend on vacinations

ANSWER: Hi Alyanna,

Yes that is a domestic tortoise shell. Kittens can become pregnant at around 6 months old. She may look at your guinea pig as a cat toy and try to play with it. She could hurt it but not on purpose. You can try to introduce them but be very careful. I wouldn't do it but there have been instances of the two getting along fine. It's hard to say how much vaccinations are going to be. They could be free at a clinic or range from about $20- $50. I hope this helped. Good luck.

Answer
Hi Alyanna,

A cat usually has its first heat period from around 4-6 months. This when she gets pregnant. She will display certain behavior when she is in heat. Here's a good link on what to look for.
