How to feed my cats

Question
I have two cats, a 10 year old and 6 year old, females.  Both have been spade.  My older girl is very overweight, the baby appears to be normal.  My baby has had problems with crystals in her urine, the older with hairballs.  How do I feed the two?  I've seen so much information, I'm shaking my head, with no clear suggestion on how to feed them.  Some say dry is best, others say wet.  Which is it?  How do I feed them both, because I can't afford different foods, and they eat out of each others dishes.  Please, help me to make their lives better, keep them healthy, and give them what they need.  Have a Blessed day..............Carolyn

Again, easy for you:  Just cook up your meats in advance and freeze.
