QuestionHi Marie,
We have a beautiful 3 yr. old cat named Lucy.
She started last Fall with intermediate diahrea.
We took her to the vet and she did xrays on her
and gave her flagyl. After the second batch of
flagyl we are pretty much convinced that it's not
an infection, but worry it might be her food.
She eats Fancy Feast dry and twice a day has been
getting the new Fancy Feast Appetiser which she loves.
Would you please recommend a new diet for my baby girl?
I appreciate your time and advise. I should mention she's
not overweight and is healthy otherwise.
Thanks,
Mar

nu vet for cats
Hi Mary, Let's do some home-cooking for your cat. I bet she has some inflammation of the bowel.
try the following diet and see what results we get:
Easy to do - cook 1-2 x per week ( you can freeze the meat if you need to)
Hi - Here is a bland diet recipe to feed your cat for 3-4 days:
THEN, start to add some Innova, Wellness, or Solid Gold Canned cat food to the recipe below-
start to get her eating a better quality canned food.
( off dry food 1/4 cup per day ONLY as a snack) - Make sure it is a good one like the brands above...
Bland Diet for cats
Serving Size : 1
Categories : cat
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 c Chicken, boiled or micro-
- waved
1/4 c Fresh broccoli, steamed
1/4 c Shredded carrots, steamed
Chicken broth
Mix ingredients with enough chicken broth to hold together. This same
recipe can be used with fish (broil or microwave until it flakes.) You can
also vary the recipe by adding rice or other vegetables.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR cat take 1/2 teaspoon of NuVET Plus for Felines -
1/2 teaspoon in the am and 1/2 teaspoon in the Pm
Mix into some WET cat food or even some 2% small curd cottage cheese
