Feeding kitten boiled chicken

Question
Hi - We recently added a 5 and half week old kitten to our family, pretty much since we had him, he has had diarrhea.  He did one maybe 2 firmish poo's, but has been downhill since then.  I was fairly sure it was a change to his diet, as the previous owners were very evasive when it came to telling me which food he was on, basically gave me a few different ones.  After Jasper had the runs for about 3 days we took him to the vets.  She examined him, took his temp etc, which were all fine, so she also put it down to diet. The vet gave us some pro-kolin paste and said to give it him for 48hrs, which we did but the paste just seemed to go straight through him and didn't improve it at all.  It has been 6 days now of diarrhea, it actually seems a bit worse now, very liquid, After chatting to a few people they suggested i put him on boiled chicken to see if that helps, I have done that now and he has had 3 lots, but still no chanage. He is very playful and doesn't seem ill, but I am concerned.  Is boiled chicken a good thing to try and settle his tummy?  Or is another trip to the vet iminent?  Many thanks for any help you can give me. x

Answer
Yes - boiled chicken and white rice - in small amounts should help.  ONLY white meat of the chicken.
Also, see here:  He may like this glop:

ALTABELLA CATTERY'S KITTEN GLOP

1 lg. can evaporated milk
2 tbsp. plain yogurt (not diet)
2 tbsp. mayonnaise (real)
1 tbs. Karo Syrup (light)
1 pkg. Knox gelatin
1 egg yolk (beaten)
1 cup of liquid unflavored Pedialyte

INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix milk, yogurt, mayonnaise and syrup together well.
Bring 1 cup water to boil and mix in Knox gelatin; set aside.
Mix egg yolk with small amount of milk mixture and beat well.
Add gelatin and water to milk mixture and beat well. Add in egg yolk mixture and beat well.
Pour into a freezer safe bowl or similar type of bowl with a cover and set in refrigerator.
We usually use Ice Cube Trays for our glop pudding. Pudding will last for two weeks covered in refrigerator.

Always warm pudding to room temperature (milk form) before feeding.

It is very rich in calcium, this pudding can be used as a supplement for kittens, sick cats and show cats to put on weight.
