QuestionI have three cats, one female and two males. A year ago I put them on hills cd formula as one of the males contracted crystals in his urine. It seemed to work for all three but a couple of weeks ago I decided to take them off the dry and try to get away with feeding them wet. Their coats are looking so much better and they have lost a little weight. Vet said they were overweight.
I did speak to my vet today about this and she said it was okay as long as I feed them dry or wet that is pH balanced for urinary tracts.
I currently feed them meow mix wet, but was thinking of switching to blue or wellness.
Do you think I should get them back on the dry in order to avoid the crystals? The Hills cd was costing me $17.00 every two weeks! What would you recommend?
AnswerHi - Well, I sure do understand your concern about the Hill's Brand and the high cost!
The only other thing you can do is home-cook for them.
Do you want my recipes for cats with crystal / urinary problems.
You can feed it to all of them. Some cooking labor on your part.
Let me know if you want to home cook????
