Preparing for Vacation;LeBistro Portion Control Feeder

Hello - I have 2 cats, and I have changed their feeding schedule drastically over the last year because they needed to lose weight.  Currently, they each eat 1/2 a can of Fancy Feast 3 times per day.  After their morning and afternoon meal, I also give them about a dozen pieces each of tarter-control dry food.  They have both lost weight and my vet is happy (I used to set out dry food all day).  However, my family is going on a week-long vacation in 2 months and the cat sitter will only be visiting once per day.  How can I adjust their feeding schedule to go from three feedings to one per day?  One of the cats vomits about once per month immediately after he eats, and I'm afraid if he eats too much in one sitting, he won't be able to keep it down.  Any suggestions?
