Biting at the air

Question
Nicloe,
My daughter has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he is driving us nuts. He keeps biting at the air...first we thought it was dust, then we noticed a whisker just in front of one of his eyes and clipped it. Nothing has worked. He is going to the vet in 2 weeks, but I would like to know just what this could be.
Thanks,
John Calnan

Answer
Hi John!

This could be anything from serious to just a little problem. But without being able to see and examine your dog,I cannot tell you the exact diagnosis and treatment. This could be obsessive compulsive disorder,he may be still biting the dust, something else is irritating him or he could just be paying around, trying to act silly.I am not sure what this is,but your vet will.If you can,try to get him into the vets a little sooner. But if you can't,it's okay.Just keep a close eye on him and right down on a piece of paper everything abnormal he does. Then give that piece of paper to the vet and it could help him out.

I hope this has been helpful and I wish you the best of luck! Please keep me posted and give that King Charles millions of kisses for me!Sending wagging tails your way!
