Question
I have a black lab, Delilah, that is 1 1/2 years old. She was fixed when she was 6 months old. In the last month she has started wetting the bed in her sleep and when she is asleep in a chair. We have taken her to the vet on 2 occasions. He first gave he Clavamox (? spelling)to be given 2 x a day. She finished this med and did fine. Once she was off the med, she started again. Now she is on Baytil 2 x a day. She has one day left on her med and has wet the bed x 3 this week. She only does this in her sleep and still wakes me up 3 times a night to go outside. What else can I do???? Is this normal??? Please help, I love my Delilah but I am tired of washing sheets/blankets 3 times a week. Any advice is appreciated

Answer
ok, have they really done a urinalysis on your dog or did they just throw her on anitbiotics?  if so, find another vet.

many spayed dogs have a low estrogen level that causes urine leakage that can be fixed with meds.  its more seen in older pets, but on the occasion a young animal can have this issue.
