What is the difference between a vet. assistant and a vet technician?  What education is required for both?  What salary can be expected for each area?  Is the job market more favorable for one or the other?  Thanks

Veterinary assistants are trained on the job. They can make $9.00 to $12.00 per hour to start. Veterinary technicians get a 2 year college degree. There is quite a need for registered veterinary technicians.  Their starting salary range is from $22,000 to $30,000 depending on experience and where they work.
