Biting flies

I have an akita outside and the flies are eating at the tip of my dogs ear until it bleeds what can I put on them

Oh NO!  How awful... You can clean the area with hydrogen peroxide and water...USE cotton balls if you have some.
Then, place some Neosporin or Tripple Antibiotic ointment on the areas.
If you can get to a Pet Store - EMT gel is great.  It forms a invisible bandage over the ear.  Like a second skin over the areas that are injured or infected.
