Eating Schedule

Question
Is there any schedule on which I could feed my 5 month old,
35lb, male labrador so that he doesn't need to get up at 4:30am
to go out?  He's been pretty much housetrained for 3 weeks
now, but isn't able to hold it until a reasonable hour in the
morning.  I'm just wondering if you know how long it takes food
to go through his system?

Any suggestions would be great, he usually goes before he gets
in his crate for the evening, approx. 10-11pm.

Hi Andrea,
  I'm not really sure. You might want to direct this question to Dr. Jennifer Fry on this Ask the Veterinary Site she might have better suggestion  and would know how long it takes the food to digest and things like that. Take care and good luck with your new puppy.
