cats hair

my cat is licking herself bald, or her hair is falling out what should i do? it is mostly on her belly. please help.

Answer
When cats do this, they are most likely itchy.  They actually cut the hairs with their teeth.  You should contact your vet to get the cat a shot of a long acting steroid called DepoMedrol.  That will help relieve the itching. If the shot helps, then your cat is probably allergic to something.
