Cat has Abnormal Eye

Question
After my cat has been outside for the day, her eyes are abnormal. One eye is all black pupil. The other eye is all green iris with an irregular shaped black speck at the bottom of the eye. They are not reactive to light. She can still see. She is not in pain and it does not seem to bother her. The next morning her eyes are back to normal. What's wrong?

Answer
Without knowing an age it is hard to say. This bears some investigation by the vet however. Eye abnormalities can be caused by hypertension, leukemia, brain disorders, hyper-calcemia, diabetes and more.

She needs a trip to the vet. This is not a normal occurrence and she needs to be seen.
