kitty litter

I am a pet sitter & have started to have sore lungs and a cough.  I'm wondering if kitty litter is a danger to the lungs of cats and people.  Thank you,  Renee

Clay litters can produce quite a lot of dust.  This can be a problem over time.  It is always recommended to use no dust litters.  There are many types and brands out there.  They cost more but are much safer.  Have you seen a Doctor?  You would have to spend a great deal of time around cat litter to develop sore lungs and a cough.  I would find out what is causing this ASAP.
