my dog keeps licking her paws and sometimes makes her paws sore from chewing them

This is most likely an allergy and often with the feet a contact allergy.  I would recommend wiping her feet with vinegar and water every time she comes in from the outside.  Do not use any carpet freshener and minimize fragrences in the house.  Switch her food to an all-natural fish based diet such as those made by Verus, Wellness or Natures Recipe.  And you can try giving Benadryl 1, 25 mg capsule per 25-50 pounds of weight twice a day.  If the feet are very sore, then a trip to the vet is indicated as some of these dogs need to be placed on a short course of steroids or have secondary infection that must be treated before they will get better.
