Puppy Diarrhea

Question
Hi, well my problem is that my puppy (almost 3 months old, a boy golden) had diarrhea this morning. Yesterday and the days before he was doing fine, but we did change his food quite fast and it was about 8 days ago. He was pooping fine then. He's also very tired and sleeps a lot or when we go outside, he just lays in the grass. He eats a lot of grass and today he ate a bit of other dogs poo. I'm really concerned about him. what should i do? Should i take him to the vet immediately?

Answer
Hi Lisa,
It is never good to change the food fast but with the lethargy and eating of other dogs feces I am concerned he might have a bug.
He is young enough to be susceptible to parvo virus still and eating other  dog feces makes him even more exposed.
You might just have a combination of food that isn't cutting it for him nutritionally, a virus and/or gastroenteritis.
A trip to the vet is in order due to his age, but I would like to know what you are feeding him.

Since I only feed and recommend Science Diet once he is feeling better get him slowly onto a bag and get some real nutrition into him and in three weeks you will have a pretty bouncy puppy with a great shiny coat.

If you want to know more about how to switch him, contact me after his vet visit. Please let me know how he is doing and what the vet says.

I will then send you a plan to switch him to the best food on the market made by vets, fed by vets for over 50 years.

I hope he will be fine soon.
