Question
My cat has smelly ears.  What could be causing this, and is there anything I can do for him.  I am not sure but think they are hurting him as he won't let me touch them....

Answer
Hi Val!  Your cat would definately need to see a veterinarian, as it sounds as though an ear infection is present.  By doing this promptly, a simple antibiotic ear drop will cure this problem.  The longer the infection is present, the more it will grow and the deeper it will get.  This will result in an inner ear infection, which can cause neurological behavior and take a much more agressive treatment route as it will be harder to cure.
I hope this answers your question and if you have any more, please feel free to ask!
Sending your kitty get well kisses!
