dog acne

hello, my male nutered scottie is 19 months old and is suffering from a form of acne predominatly along the length of his backbone to the base of his tail, i am trying BARF ( some 2 weeks now ) and while he is calmer and his coat is shining he still has this acne, a mild shampoo was sold to me via our vet but does not seem to help, any suggestions please?

That is an unusual place for acne. Did the vet actually examine the dog and say that?  You might ask your vet to do a skin biopsy on an active skin lesion to see exactly what this is.  Sometimes these types of lesions are actually bacterial infection and the dog may need oral antibiotics.
