tick removal

About four days ago I removed a tick from the top of my labs head. Now a large nasty bump is growing there. Is this serious? Thanks.

Hi Bob:  He could have a small infection because of the tick removal.  Clean the area with Hydrogen Peroxide and water.  Then, apply neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment.  

If it gets very HOT or much larger, please call your local vet.
