Answer
Linda- If he has had many loose stools then the intestines are working overtime and there can be bright red blood on occasions.  If he is loosing more than a teaspoon at each poop, please see the vet ASAP... ( could be bacterial infection)

Otherwise, it should stop with my suggestions:

Whatever you are feeding mix it with this dog food:
Go to the store and buy Innova for Puppies - Mix your food and the new Innova 50/50  mix  for 1 month.  After the month is over the
n go to 100% the new Innova Food.  When he is 9 months to 10 months old , take him off the Innova Puppy and go to Innova EVO ..

Next, canned pure pumpkin at every meal... just 1/2 of a teaspoon mixed into his dog food... Yum Yum and great fiber to firm up the poop...

Last, Call NuVET Plus and get the Puppy Formula - It is a powder you mix into his dry or wet food each day... Order the 90 count - this will give you enough for 3-4 months... He will need 1 teaspoon mixed into his food just ONCE per day...
This will fix up his IMMUNE system and Blast it back into shape..!
NuVET is a wonderful puppy to adult supplement - this is for a lifetime of health---- Only about.50 cents per day

Please go her for more info on NuVET -  You can get wafers or powder.

Let me know how he does on the NuVET, Innova Food, and Pumpkin...
I will have more suggestions as he get older - I alway try to suggest low cost and Natural Products... ( safe products)

Good Luck
