Question
my one year old dog is suffering from paralysis since 2 months.her lower half has been affected.she is not able to stand so she drags herself.we had given her Decadum injection for 4 weeks.we are continuing with the inj Trinurosol( 1l  i/m on alternate days).but as such no improvement has occured.so if you could please give some advice regarding her medication and some useful exercises.

Answer
I am sorry to hear this. Any dog that has been unable to walk due to some kind of paralysis after two months has a very slim chance of recovering.

You did not say what started this but spinal traumas are very hard to turn around after this time period. If her front legs work you might want to get her a cart, but if she is paralyzed front and back then you must regard her quality of life at this point. She will get bladder and other infections if she isn't able to void urine on her own. These drugs you mentioned I am not familiar with, so I am assuming they are from another country?

If you want some better advice than I can give you please re-post this to the same area but pick one of the veterinarians here on the board.
I am a vet tech and cannot even begin to tell you how to treat this dog.

My concern is for her welfare at this point. You might want to consider her state of mind and ability to lead a normal life at this point and give her the gift of not suffering any longer.

But please, re-post first and ask one of the veterinarians here.
I am sorry I cannot be of more help.
