Question
My 4 yr old dane began acting very odd this morning...walking around with his head down, lethargic, staying very close to me...even trying to climb into my lap.  He has not eaten today but did eat last night.  I also fed him some pork rib bones.  He won't even bring his head up when I try and lift it.

Answer
You need to call the vet immediately. Your dog is suffering from a blockage or some sort of intestinal distress from feeding him these bones.
Bone of any sort should never be fed to a dog, never!
Pork bones are even worse as they can have encysted trichinosis worms in them. Bones splinter and can pierce the intestine of dogs when eaten in any form.

Please, please call your vet right away. Your dog is in some serious distress at this point from what you are describing.

Your vet needs to get an xray of his gut done and find out what is going on inside of him.
Please don't wait. I can't even begin to tell you what happens if you wait if he is having an issue with these bones.

And please, never feed him any type of bone after this.
Please let me know how he is doing tomorrow. Now I am worried about him!
