blood in cats urine

Hi, i have a question about my spayed female cat. i have 5 cats that live outside that are fed dry and canned cat food.For the past 2 weeks i have been feeding urinary tract health dry cat food along with their normal food.Today my female cat,Olay, urinated in the snow and i noticed there was blood in it. I was wondering if it could be feline cystitis or if she had a urinary tract infection even though i have been feeding that food.

Yes it is possible that either of these could be occurring.  Though many diets are being created to help avoid urinary problems these types of problems can exist for quite a while and the food does not cure then only helps prevent them.

I would suggest taking her in to your veterinarian for an exam and urinary testing. Best of luck to you and your feline friend.
