Weird Skin Problems and Fur Loss

Question
Hello!

I live in China where vet medicine is a little archaic still and have a cat with some interesting problems.  She is the runt and had a horrible case of small intestine worms that I did not know about until a month ago.  As a result she is a third the size of her sister (they are 8 months old).

Now I'm noticing some weird skin problems.  On one ear the skin has become dry and flaky, and I can pull out whole tufts of fur without causing her pain.  This is also happening on her back paws.

The other thing is her tail.  In different locations she had this black gunk that could be peeled off with the fur and caused her no pain.  This leaved the skin exposed and then a crust formed over the top of that which could peel off too.

I looked close an saw what appeared to be black heads, and white and black grit.  Thinking it was fleas I put on a flea collar but I'm not sure if it's just that or ringworm, or something else.  My other cat shows no symptoms of hair loss and I have not develop ringworm.  This has started getting bad in the last 2 months, so I don't know what to do.

Please keep in mind that in China, cat's are not seen as pets, so to get any cat things is difficult and they are all imported from Japan and the USA.  But if you could give me some suggestions that would be wonderful!

Thank you!

Answer
This is most likely ringworm from your description.  I am sure that there are topical medications available in China for things like ringworm, athlete's foot, or yeast infections in women.  All of those types of cremes and lotions have anti-fungal medication.  You might try one of these.
