Questionwhen a dog urinates should there be a discharge after or what
if discharge (thick cloudy)appears without urinating?
AnswerNicole -
You did not say whether your dog is intact or has been neutered. If the dog has not been neutered there is the possibility that the discharge from the penis is related to the sex organs or it may be an infection. The name for the condition is called balanoposthitis. It is not a common condition in neutered dogs, but can be quite common in intact males. Your veterinarian can determine if there is indeed an infection.
